A product dispensing drainback fitting 20 has a pour spout 23, surrounded by a circumscribed well 12, a shortened longitudinal slot 27 running from the pouring end of the pour spout 23 towards the well 12, and an appropriately sized drainback hole 28 in the base of the well 12 sized to minimize double pour; e.g., the distance 40 between base 25 and slot 13 is extended and the drainback hole 28 is reduced. The fitting wall 21 may be threaded to engage the threads 32 of neck 31 of container 30.
