The invention provides a method of treating gynecomastia in a patient being treated with an antiandrogen, which method comprises administering to a patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of an aromatase inhibitor selected from exemestane, formestane, anastrozole, letrozole and fadrozole, or a pharmaceutical composition comprising a said aromatase inhibitor. The use of a said aromatase inhibitor in the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for treating gynecomastia induced by antiandrogen therapy and a kit containing the said aromatase inhibitor and an antiandrogen are also provided.

L'invention concerne une méthode de traitement de la gynécomastie chez un patient traité avec un anti-androgène. Cette méthode consiste à administrer à un patient une dose thérapeutiquement efficace d'un inhibiteur de l'aromatase sélectionné parmi l'exemestane, le formestane, l'anastrozole, le letrozole et le fadrazole, ou une composition pharmaceutique comprenant un desdits inhibiteurs de l'aromatase. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation d'un desdits inhibiteurs de l'aromatase dans la préparation d'une composition pharmaceutique destinées au traitement de la gynécomastie induit par la thérapie par anti-androgène, ainsi qu'un nécessaire contenant lesdits inhibiteurs de l'aromatase et un anti-androgène
