In a so-called GTL process for producing liquid hydrocarbons containing fuel oil by producing synthesis gas from natural gas, subsequently producing Fischer-Tropsch oil from the obtained synthesis gas by way of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and upgrading the produced Fischer-Tropsch oil, the synthesis gas produced from a synthesis gas production step is partly branched at a stage prior to getting to a Fischer-Tropsch oil production step and high-purity hydrogen is separated and produced from the synthesis gas entering the branch line. All the separated high-purity hydrogen is supplied to an upgrading reaction step and consumed as hydrogen for an upgrading reaction. Additionally, the synthesis gas entering the branch line is subjected to a water gas shift reaction to raise the hydrogen concentration before the step of separating and producing high-purity hydrogen and the residual gas left after the separation may be circulated to the synthesis gas production step as raw material for producing synthesis gas.
Selon l'invention, dans un procédé dit GTL comportant la production de gaz de synthèse à partir de gaz naturel, la production d'une huile de Fischer-Tropsch à partir du gaz de synthèse résultant par synthèse de Fischer-Tropsch et la valorisation de l'huile pour produire des hydrocarbures liquides contenant une huile combustible, le gaz de synthèse produit dans l'étape de production de gaz de synthèse est partiellement acheminé vers un branchement avant d'être introduit dans l'étape de production d'huile de Fischer-Tropsch. De l'hydrogène de pureté élevée est obtenu par la séparation de l'hydrogène du gaz de synthèse qui est entré dans le branchement. Cet hydrogène séparé de pureté élevée est totalement adressé à l'étape de réaction de valorisation et utilisé comme hydrogène pour la réaction de valorisation. De plus, il est possible d'utiliser un procédé comportant l'opération consistant à amener le gaz de synthèse qui est entré dans le branchement à subir une réaction de conversion à la vapeur d'eau pour augmenter la concentration de l'hydrogène de celui-ci, par la suite pour produire de l'hydrogène de pureté élevée par la séparation de l'hydrogène à partir du gaz, le recyclage du gaz restant après la séparation vers l'étape de production de gaz de synthèse et l'utilisation du gaz recyclé comme matière première pour la production de gaz de synthèse.
