ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Aluminum salts of N-nitroso-N-alkylhydroxylamines are produced by the reaction of an aluminum salt with an alkali metal salt, alkaline earth metal salt and/or ammonium salt of an N- nitroso-N-alkylhydroxylamine and/or the aftertreatment of an appropriate aluminum salt in the presence of water and an organic solvent. The products have fungicidal properties and are starting materials for the production of fungicides for wood preservatives, colored surface coatings, synthetic resins and dye formulations.
