ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Patterned laminates are formed by printing an image of an enchant on one web and laminating the printed web so that the image is sandwiched between the webs in contact with a metallized film. The enchant then dissolves the metallized surface in the printed areas to provide the desired pattern. The resulting laminate may be used as packaging material.
