The subject invention provides a method of producing enzymatically active CPB which comprises treating a recombinant cell containing DNA encoding ProCPB, so that the DNA directs expression of the ProCPB, recovering from the cell the ProCPB so expressed, treating the recovered ProCPB under conditions permitting folding of the ProCPB, subjecting the folded ProCPB to enzymatic cleavage to produce enzymatically active CPB and purifying the enzymatically active CPB.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour l'élaboration de carboxypeptidase B (CPB) à activité enzymatique, qui consiste à traiter une cellule recombinée contenant l'ADN qui code la procarboxypeptidase B, de sorte que l'ADN dirige l'expression de cette substance, à récupérer dans la cellule ladite ProCPB ainsi exprimée, à traiter cette substance récupérée dans des conditions qui permettent de la soumettre à un pliage, puis à soumettre la substance en question ayant subi un pliage à un clivage enzymatique en vue d'obtenir et de purifier la carboxypeptidase B à activité enzymatique.
