ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for the production of fine copper powder with particles having a size less than about 5 micrometres, comprises providing an ammoniacal cuprous salt solution, and neutralizing ammonia in said solution with acid in a substantially oxygen-free environment to produce substantially oxygen-free fine spherical copper powder.
