A new method for increasing expression of a puroindoline protein in a plant, said puroindoline protein modifying grain hardness, notably breadmaking quality, said method comprising the steps of: (e) preparing a DNA construct which will allow the expression of a puroindoline protein, (f) introducing said DNA construct into plant cell, plant tissue, or plant, (g) selecting the plant cell, or plant tissue, or plant which stably maintain the puroindoline expression, (h) and optionally regenerating fertile stable transformed plant.
L'invention concerne un nouveau procédé permettant d'augmenter l'expression d'une protéine de puroindoline chez un végétal. Ladite protéine de puroindoline permet de modifier de manière considérable la qualité de panification et la dureté d'un grain. Ledit procédé consistant à: (e) préparer une construction d'ADN permettant l'expression d'une protéine de puroindoline, (f) introduire ladite construction d'ADN dans une cellule végétale, un tissu végétal, ou un végétal, (g) sélectionner la cellule végétale, ou le tissu végétal, ou le végétal permettant de maintenir stable l'expression de puroindoline, (h) et éventuellement régénérer le végétal transformé stable et fertile.
