QM 36285 ABSTRACT PRODUCTION OF HYDROFLUOROCARBONS A process for the production of a hydrofluorocarbon which process comprises contacting a fluorocarbon contnining at least one atom of chlorine, bromine or iodine with a complex metal hydride and optionally a metal hydride. The fluorocarbon containing at least one atom of chlorine, bromine or iodine may be an impurity in a mixture thereof with a hydrofluoroalkane.
