Hydrogen peroxide is produced by liquid phase molecular oxygen oxidation of methyl benzyl alcohol, water concentration in the reaction mixture being maintained below 4% by weight, more preferably below 2% by weight, and most preferably below 1% by weight.

Le peroxyde d'hydrogène est produit par oxydation en phase liquide d'un alcool méthylbenzylique par l'oxygène moléculaire, la concentration d'eau dans le mélange réactionnel étant maintenue à une valeur inférieure à 4 % en poids, ou mieux, inférieure à 2 % en poids, ou encore mieux, inférieure à 1 % en poids.
