This invention relates to plant fatty acyl hydroxylases. Methods to use conserved amino acid or nucleotide sequences to obtain plant fatty acyl hydroxylases are described. Also described is the use of cDNA clones encoding a plant hydroxylase to produce a family of hydroxylated fatty acids in transgenic plants.
Cette invention se rapporte à des acylhydroxylases agissant sur les acides gras des plantes. Des procédés pour utiliser des séquences d'acides aminés ou de nucléotides conservées, afin d'obtenir des acylhydroxylases agissant sur les acides gras des plantes, sont également décrits. Cette invention se rapporte également à l'utilisation de clones d'ADNc codant une hydroxylase végétale, afin de produire une famille d'acides gras hydroxylés dans des plantes transgéniques.
