ABSTRACT Particulate nutrient material for use as fertiliser or animal feedstock is produced from absorbent paper shreds or particles, for example of newsprint, impregnated with animal manure - for example as a result of use of the paper as bedding for chickens. The impregnated paper shreds or particles are compacted and pelleted, and may be mixed with superphoshpate and/or fishmeal before pelleting.
