ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A conveyor apparatus is described including a first conveyor for conveying sheets in a first direction and a second conveyor for conveying sheets in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction. A star wheel has an axially-elongated hub, which has an axis transverse to the first direction and parallel to the second direction, with a plurality of arms extending radially from the hub and spaced circumferentially about the hub. The star wheel is mounted at a longitudinal end of the first and second conveyors. Sheets from the first conveyor are received within circumferentially-successive arms of the star wheel and a reciprocating means displaces sheets from the star wheel out the second conveyor.
