ABSTRACT Packaged Plant Material and Method of Production A pack of growing seedlings includes a sealed, sterile dish 9 containing an agar gel in which seedlings have been raised from seed sown in the gel. The pack may also include a growing tray 2, for which a pack of compost may be provided, and a transparent cover 10 which together form a propagator into which seedlings may be transplanted from the dish 9. The dish 9 may be fixed to a backing 8 and the various components of dish 9 and backing 8, tray 2 and cover 10 snap fitted one with another to form a convenient package which also has the advantage of being rearrangeable to provide a robust package for the mail-order market.
