PRODUCTION OF STEAM Abstract of the Invention Steam may be produced in an external heat exchanger of a fluidized bed combustor without conventional heat exchange tubing. Heat is produced in the combustor and transferred to an entrained bed of fine particles which deliver the heat directly to a water or sewage sludge spray in an external heat exchanger.
