Products and methods for custom dental impression trays Abstract This invention relates to separator plates for custom dental impression trays, having rod-shaped projections mounted on the plate and perpendicular or somewhat perpendicular thereto. The rod-shaped projections which are preferably cylinders, are spaced, preferably regularly spaced, on the plate. One of the methods for making a remov- able prosthetic for a human mouth, comprises: applying a dental polymerizable material to obtain a custom dental impression tray, to a wax separator plate for custom dental impression trays, while confin- ing the polymerizable material on the wax separator plate with a new pincer. Then the separator plate is applied over a preliminary cast. After polymerization completion of the polymerizable material, the preliminary cast and the separator plate including the rod-shaped projections are removed, obtaining a custom dental impression tray with spaced, built-in, rod-shaped perforations therethrough.
