Methods for preparing progenitor cells are described where epithelial cells are induced to undergo epithelial-mes-enchymal transition as a result of exposure to an inducing agent or introduction of a gene therein that induces epithelial-mesenchymal transition. Progenitor cells resulting therefrom have use in cell-based therapies, among other utilities.
L'invention concerne des méthodes permettant de préparer des cellules progénitrices dans lesquelles des cellules épithéliales sont amenées à subir une transition épithéliale-mésenchymale comme résultat de l'exposition à un agent d'induction ou de l'introduction dans lesdites cellules d'un gène qui induit une transition épithéliale-mésenchymale. Les cellules progénitrices résultantes sont entre autre utilisées dans des thérapies cellulaires.
