Abstract of the Disclosure An improved opthalmic lens for presbyopia is disclosed in which the refractive power is progressively changed to provide a natural visual target arrangement. In the opthalmic lens, rotation of the head of a wearer for binocular lateral vision is taken into account to permit comfortable binocular lateral vision closer to vision with the naked eyes. Two refractory surfaces are provided one of which includes a vertical first umbilical meridian curve dividing the surface into two lateral areas closer to the nasal side and temporal side respectively and assymetric with respect to one another. The surface is such that when a second meridian curve is imagined to contact the first curve then the first curve is displaced towards the nasal side in a lower region of the refractory surface and is displaced but less so towards the nasal side in an intermediate region of the surface.
