This invention relates to methods and compositions for determining the prognosis of cancer in a patient, particularly for gastrointestinal cancer, such as gastric or colorectal cancer. Specifically, this invention relates to the use of genetic markers for the prediction of the prognosis of cancer, such as gastric or colorectal cancer, based on cell proliferation signatures. In various aspects, the invention relates to a method of predicting the likelihood of long-term survival of a cancer patient, a method of determining a treatment regime for a cancer patient, a method of preparing a personalized genomics profile for a cancer patient, among other methods as well as kits and devices for carrying out these methods.
L'invention concerne des méthodes et des compositions permettant d'établir un pronostic de cancer chez un patient, en particulier un cancer gastro-intestinal, notamment un cancer gastrique ou un cancer colorectal (CCR). L'invention concerne spécifiquement l'utilisation de marqueurs génétiques permettant de pronostiquer un cancer, notamment un cancer gastrique ou colorectal, en fonction de signatures de prolifération cellulaire. Dans des aspects variés, l'invention concerne entre autres : une méthode permettant de prédire la probabilité de survie à long terme d'un patient cancéreux; une méthode de détermination d'un régime de traitement destiné à un patient cancéreux; une méthode de préparation d'un profil génomique personnalisé destiné à un patient cancéreux; ainsi que des trousses et des dispositifs permettant de mettre en oeuvre de telles méthodes.
