A propeller guard for an outboard or stern drive motor having increased rigidity and stiffness is disclosed. The guard comprises an arcuate main spine, a plurality of side ribs and an upright brace. The spine comprises channel means adapted to engage the leg of the motor and clamping strap means for attachment of the guard to the motor.
