574910 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel prophylactic devices made of elastomeric material are provided herein. Such devices comprise at least two layers of elastomeric material arranged one on top of the other. Microcapsules are disposed between the two layers. The microcapsules have rupturable walls and contain therein at least one product or substance active against germs (viruses, fungi and other pathogens) or spermatozoa. The wall of the microcapsule ruptures under the action of a rubbing or shearing force.
