ABSTRACT A propulsion mechanism for a lever propelled bicycle is provided. A one piece assembly of pedals, a pair of arms, a journal and a pair of levers. The assembly is mounted on a main shalt, and a chain is entrained on gears connected by a pair of one-way clutches to a wheel hub journaled on a rear axle. The chain is connected to the arms and execute see-saw motions as the levers and arms are oscillated up and down as the pedals are moved by a rider.
