Crystalline propylene polymer compositions having improved impact strength and improved clarity are disclosed. The composition is prepared by melt blending a propylene polymer, e.g., polypropylene, and from about 1 to 35 wt.% of an elastomeric interpolymer of a C4 to C8 isomonoolefin, e.g., isobutylene, and a para-alkystyrene comonomer, e.g., para-methylstyrene. The interpolymer preferably contains a benzylic functional group such as halogen (bromine). The composition may also contain from about 0.5 to 15 wt.% of the amide reaction product of an organic acid-grafted propylene polymer, e.g., maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene, and a polyfunctional primary amine.

L'invention porte sur des compositions de polymères de propylène présentant une meilleure résistance à l'impact et une plus grande transparence, obtenues par mélange en fusion d'un polymère de propylène, par exemple du polypropylène, et de 1 à 35 % en poids d'un interpolymère d'élastomène d'une isomonooléfine C¿4?-C¿8?, par exemple de l'isobutylène, et d'un comonomère du type para-alkylstyrène, par exemple du para-méthylstyrène. L'interpolymère contient de préférence un groupe fonctionnel benzylique tel qu'un halogène (brome). La composition peut également comporter environ 0,5 à 15 % en poids du produit de réaction amidique d'un polymère de propylène organique à greffe d'acide, par exemple, un polypropylène à greffe d'anhydride maléique et d'une amine primaire plurifonctionnelle.
