The present invention concerns pelletized propylene homo- or copolymer compositions having an ultra high melt flow rate (MFR) and a process for producing propylene homo- or copolymer fibres. According to the invention, the polymer composition has an MFR2 of 400 g/10 min or more and is obtainable by polymerising propylene at elevated pressure, optionally together with hydrogen and/or comonomers, in the presence of a catalyst in a reaction sequence including at least one bulk reaction zone.

La présente invention porte sur des compositions homopolymères or copolymères de propylène sous forme de pellets dont la vitesse d'écoulement à l'état fondu est ultra élevée (MFR) et sur un procédé de production de fibres homopolymères ou copolymères de propylène. Selon cette invention, la composition polymère a une MFR¿2? égale ou supérieure à 400 g/10 mn et est obtenue par polymérisation du propylène à une pression élevée, éventuellement avec un hydrogène et/ou des comonomères, en présence d'un catalyseur dans une séquence de réaction comprenant une zone de réaction en vrac.
