ABSTRACT 6-Oxo-17,20-dimethyl prostaglandin E1 analogues of the general formula: Image IV [wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms,the grouping -R2-R3 represents a 2-methylhexyl group, the dotted line attached to the C-ll and C-15 position carbon atoms represent a-configuration] and cyclodextrin clathrates of such acids and esters and, when R1 represents a hydrogen atom, non-toxic salts thereof, possess useful pharmacological properties.
