A polypeptide of human and rat EP2 receptors; a process for producing the same; a DNA coding for the same; a replication or expression vector comprising the DNA and a host cell transformed by the vector; a monoclonal or polyclonal antibody of the polypeptide; a pharmaceutical composition containing the polypeptide or the antibody; and a method of screening a compound having an EP2 agonist or antagonist activity by using the polypeptide and the host cell. As the above polypeptide itself specifically binds to PGE2, it can be used as a preventive or remedy for diseases caused by PGE2 overproduction, such as inflammation. Also it can be used for screening a substance having an EP2 receptor agonist or antagonist activity.

Se liant spécifiquement avec le PGE¿2?, ce polypeptide est utilisable comme préventif ou remède contre les maladies induites par une surproduction de PGE¿2?, telles que l'inflammation. Ce polypeptide permet également de rechercher une substance agoniste ou antagoniste du récepteur EP2.
