ABSTRACT Compounds of use in the treatment of neoplasias, for example oestrogen-dependent neoplasias, are compounds of formula (I) Image (I) wherein Image represents one of the divalent cyclic groups Image the letters a and b indicating in each case the points of attachment of the substituents R1 and C(R2)=N=Nh.CS.NH-R3, respectively; R1 is a 6-carboxyhex-2-enyl group or modification thereof in which the group is altered by one, or an appropriate combination of two or more, of the following: (a) alteration of the position of the double bond to the 3,4-position, (b) reduction of the double bond, (c) alteration of the chain length through a decrease or an increase of one methylene group, and (d) formation of an amide, ester or salt derivative of the carboxy group; R2 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; and R3 is a phenyl group which may optionally be substituted by one or more groups which are selected from alkoxy, halogen, halogen-substituted alkyl, sulphamoyl, amino, hydroxy, nitro and alkyl groups.
