A prosthesis anchor is adapted to convert a previously untreatable anatomy into a more typical and treatable condition. Preferably, the anchor is adapted to be transported endoluminally to a deployment site in a body lumen. The anchor includes a landing section (107) for securing the anchor at a relatively fixed position in the lumen, and a docking section (105) adapted to receive a mating prosthesis. The landing section of the anchor may be permanently affixed to the lumen by a variety of mechanical and/or adhesive fixation means.

Le dispositif d~ancrage est de préférence conçu pour être acheminé par voie endoluminale jusqu~à un site de déploiement dans une lumière corporelle. Le dispositif d~ancrage comprend une partie d~appui (107) permettant de le caler dans une position relativement fixe dans la lumière, et une partie de réception (105) conçue pour recevoir une prothèse d~accouplement. La partie d~appui du dispositif d~ancrage peut être fixée à demeure dans la lumière par un choix de moyens de fixation mécaniques et/ou adhésifs.
