A prosthetic device (1) for repairing or replacing cartilage or cartilage-like tissue is described. The prosthetic device comprises at least one layer (2) of highly oriented fibers, a base component (4) and a stabilization area (3) provided in between. Said fibers are aligned to more than 50% in a direction perpendicular to the base component.

L'invention concerne un dispositif prothétique pour la réparation ou le remplacement de tissu cartilagineux ou de type cartilagineux. Ce dispositif prothétique est composé d'au moins une couche de fibres fortement orientées, d'un constituant de base et d'une zone de stabilisation située entre ladite couche et ledit constituant, plus de 50 % desdites fibres étant alignées dans une direction perpendiculaire au constituant de base.
