A prosthetic heart valve (10) for replacing a native heart valve is provided and includes a generally circular heart valve body (12) having an inner wall (14) defining a lumen (16) configured to allow blood flow therethrough. Occluders (40, 42) are configured to rotate about opposed occluder ends between an open position and a closed position. Minor radius arcs (24) in the body (12) cooperate with the occluders (40, 42) to allow the occluders (40, 42) to block blood flow through lumen when in a closed position yet provide an increased lumen (16) when the occluders (40, 42) are in an open position.
L'invention porte sur une prothèse de valvule cardiaque (10) remplaçant une valvule naturelle et comportant: un corps sensiblement circulaire (12) dont la paroi intérieure (14) délimite une lumière (16) traversée par le sang; des obturateurs (40, 42) pivotant autour de leurs extrémités opposées entre une position d'ouverture et une position de fermeture; et des arcs (24) de petit rayon situés dans le corps et coopérant avec les obturateurs (40, 42) en position de fermeture pour arrêter le flux sanguin traversant la lumière. Cette disposition permet d'agrandir la lumière (16) quand les obturateurs (40, 42) sont en position d'ouverture.
