"PROTECTION DEVICE FOR ATTACHMENT TO A DOOR JAMB" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a device that attaches to a door jamb to provide protection and to significantly increase the amount of force necessary to break a door lock out of the door jamb. The device is a U-shaped device that fits over the inside edge of the door jamb adjacent the lock on a door. The device has aligned openings in legs thereof that align with the opening on the door jamb that receives the dead bolt or door lock from the lock on the door. The device further has screw openings which allow screws to pass through the jamb and through both legs of the device into an adjacent frame member to significantly increase the force necessary to break the lock bar of the door out of the jamb.
