ABSTRACT A self-contained radiator with an intermediate heat exchange fluid which can be overheated is provided with a protection screen formed by an outer metallic cage consisting of shaped elements and covering the upper part, both longitudinal sides and the transversal side of said radiator which is opposite to the side where the controls are placed, the cage being fastened to the body of the radiator. Means are applied on the elements of the cage to visibly define the position thereof and means are provided which vary their colour- ing depending upon the temperature, thus displaying the thermic conditions of the surfaces of said screen.
