An article of apparel for the protection of human body parts is described. The article is comprised by a weave of fibers comprising in combination from about 20% to 60% of polyester fibers, from about 17.4% to 57.4% of one of wool, rayon or viscose, from about 2.8% to 26.8% of silver- base fibers, and from about 1.6% to 7.6% of Lycra*. More specifically, but not exclusively, the article of apparel is an anti-microbial glove.
