A rewritable optical disk (21) is protectively enclosed in a cartridge (20) having a base (22) and having a hinged cover (35) which is swingable to an open position permitting removal of the disk from the cartridge. A door with shut- ter is slidable on the cartridge between open and closed po- sitions relative to access aper- tures (30) formed in the cover and the base. The shutter for the access aperture in the cover is hinged relative to the re- mainder of the sliding door to enable that shutter to swing as the cover is opened and closed. The cover carriers an axially and radially floatable hub which coacts with the optical disk and the spindle of the disk drive (33) to establish a precisely concentric relation between the disk and the spindle.

Un disque optique réinscriptible (21) est protégé à l'intérieur d'une cartouche (20) dotée d'une base (22) et d'un couvercle (35) à charnière pouvant basculer en position ouverte permettant l'extraction du disque de la cartouche. Une trappe dotée d'un volet coulisse sur la cartouche entre des positions ouverte et fermée par rapport à des ouvertures (30) d'accès ménagées dans le couvercle et la base. Le volet de l'ouverture d'accès ménagée dans le couvercle est monté par une charnière sur l'ensemble porte coulissante de sorte qu'il bascule quand on ouvre et ferme ce couvercle. Ledit couvercle présente un moyeu, flottant dans les sens axial et radial, qui intervient conjointement avec le disque optique et l'axe de l'entraînement (33) du disque, pour établir une relation exactement concentrique entre ce disque et cet axe.
