The invention relates to an aqueous polyvinyl alcohol/polyvinyl acetate-based composition which can be applied to a cured rubber surface, such as the white sidewall of a tire, to provide a protective coating against staining and scuffing. Preferably, the aqueous composition includes a polysiloxane agent for increasing the scuff resistance and high humidity resistance.
L'invention concerne une composition aqueuse à base de poly(alcool de vinyle/poly(acétate de vinyle) qui peut être appliquée sur une surface de caoutchouc vulcanisé, comme les flancs blancs d'un pneu, pour produire un revêtement protecteur contre les taches et les traces de frottement. De préférence, la composition aqueuse comprend un agent polysiloxanique pour accroître la résistance aux traces de frottement et la résistance à l'humidité élevée.
