ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION There is provided a new and useful protective cover for clothing for use on the shoulder for example of a person who is burping a baby. The cover comprises a flexible impervious first layer, a separate, flexible absorbent second layer releasably secured to the first layer in overlapping fashion, the layers having peripheral edges contoured to have a thinner, shoulder supported portion between wider front and back portions for covering portions, respectively, of a person's front and back.
