A protective cover for interfitting about the underside opening of an electrical box having and including a pair of spaced apart depending wells coinciding in location with ear apertures of the box. By means of the wells, support bolts depending downward through the ear apertures are received and enclosed so as to protect the bolt threads against any clutter as might otherwise accumulate during preparation and finishing of a ceiling area about a pre-installed box.
