A protective cover is designed for use with a machine tool and is formed of a housing which is provided with a space and a receiving compartment. A protective piece of a transparent material is disposed in the space of the housing. A battery mount is located in the receiving compartment. A switch is disposed at one end of the receiving compartment for regulating the power supply. Two light bulbs are disposed at other end of the housing. The housing is further provided with a fastening portion fastening the housing with the machine tool.
