The invention relates to a protective covering for welding devices, i.e. spot welding pliers, said covering being resistant to welding projections and being inflammable. The inventive covering comprises a front panel (1) and a rear panel (2) which can be connected to each other by connecting means (6,7) enabling the distance between the two panels (1,2) to be adjusted, said panels (1,2) being substantially planar and protecting the part of the device provided with welding pliers and the part opposite thereto, also comprising a tubular rim (8) which is placed between the front (1) and rear (2) panels and which protects the part located between them, said rim (8) consisting of several panels (9) which are joined to each other in a non-detachable manner such that the rim (8) corresponds substantially to the circumference of the welding device. The covering is placed on the welding device in two stages: the front and rear panels are installed first of all on the part of the welding device provided with arms and the part opposite thereto and are joined by connecting means. A relatively small number of different-sized elements are required to protect a large number of different welding devices.
L'invention concerne une housse de protection pour des appareils de soudage, notamment les pinces de soudage par points, cette housse résistant aux projections de soudure et étant ininflammable. La housse conforme a ('invention est constituée d'une part d'un panneau avant (1) et d'un panneau a arrière (2) pouvant être reliés entre eux par des moyens de liaison (6, 7) permettant de régler la distance entre les deux panneaux (1, 2), ces panneaux (1, 2) étant sensiblement plans et protégeant la partie de l'appareil pourvue de pinces de soudage et la partie opposée à cette dernière, et d'autre part d'un pourtour (8) tubulaire à disposer entre les panneaux avant (1) et arrière (2) et protégeant la partie située entre ceux-ci, ce pourtour (8) étant constitue de plusieurs panneaux (9) reliés ensemble de maniere dissociable afin que le pourtour (8) corresponde sensiblement à la circonférence de l'appareil de soudage. Cette housse se pose en deux étapes sur l'appareil de soudage : les panneaux avant et arrière sont tout d'abord installés sur la partie de l'appareil de soudage pourvue de bras et la partie opposée a celle-ci et ils sont reliés par les moyens de liaison. II suffira de relativement peu d'éléments de différentes tailles pour protéger un grand nombre d'appareils de soudage différents.
