Protective device for a metal clamping collar (1) of a flexible hose, the said collar (1) comprising a flexible metal band (2) which is equipped, towards a first of its ends, with a clamping member (3), particularly of the screw type (5), projecting radially relative to the band (2) and capable of co-operating with the second free end (6) of the band in order to displace the latter and thus clamp the collar around the hose, characterized in that it comprises a protective cap (7) shaped to cover the said clamping member (3) and at least one zone of the metal band which is adjacent to the said clamping member, the said protective cap being formed without sharp angles, as a result of which the protective cap (7) overlaps the member (3) and the second and (6) of the metal band (2), the said second and projecting from the said clamping member (3) when the collar (1) is clamped to the hose. Dispositif de protection pour collier de serrage métallique (1) de tuyau souple. Ce collier (1) comprend une bande métallique souple (2) qui est munie, vers sa première extrémité, d'un élément de serrage (3), particulièrement du type à vis (5), qui fait saillie radialement par rapport à la bande (2) et qui peut coopérer avec la deuxième extrémité libre (6) de la bande afin de déplacer cette dernière et de serrer ainsi le collier sur le tuyau; il a comme caractéristique d'inclure un capuchon protecteur (7), dont la forme permet de recouvrir le collier (3) et au moins une zone de la bande métallique adjacente à ce collier; le capuchon protecteur ne compte pas d'arêtes tranchantes, c'est pourquoi il (7) recouvre l'élément de serrage (3) et la deuxième extrémité (6) de la bande métallique (2); cette deuxième extrémité fait saillie de l'élément de serrage (3) lorsque le collier (1) est mis en place sur le tuyau (figure 2).
