A protective device (30) is provided for use with a packaging container (10) having an interior (22), a wall (12) and a handhold opening (20) of a selected size and configuration. Protective device (30) inhibits ingress and unwanted materials into interior (22) through handhold opening (20) while permitting insertion of a hand for grasping handhold opening (20) and comprises a panel piece (32) having a surrounding peripheral edge (34) and a surrounding peripheral margin portion (36) adjacent to peripheral edge (34). Panel piece (32) is sized and configured to have a panel size greater than the size and configuration of the handhold opening (20) so that margin portion (36) is securable to wall (12) thereby to position and secure panel piece (32) in a secured state with panel piece (32) positioned over handhold opening (20). A first adhesive material (38) is disposed on peripheral margin portion (36) and operates to secure panel piece (32) in the secured state and to seal margin portion (36) to wall (12) in an area surrounding handhold opening (20).
L'invention se rapporte à un dispositif de protection (30) pour paquet d'emballage (10) ayant un espace intérieur (22), une paroie (12) et une ouverture tenant lieu de poignée (20) de taille et de configuration déterminées. Le dispositif de protection (30) empêche l'accès à l'espace intérieur (22) et la pénétration de matièeres non désirées par l'ouverture-poignée (20), mais il laisse passer une main pour saisir ladite ouverture-poignée (20). Il est formé d'une pièce qui tient lieu de panneau (32) entourée d'une bordure périphérique (34), et d'une partie tenant lieu de marge périphérique (36) adjacente à la bordure périphérique (34). On donne à ce panneau (32) une taille et une configuration supérieures à celles de l'ouverture-poignée (20), si bien que la partie qui tient lieu de marge (36) peut être fixée à la paroi (12), ce qui permet de placer et de fixer ledit panneau (32) en position fermée sur l'ouverture-poignée (20). Un premier matériau adhésif (38) recouvre la partie marge périphérique (36) et permet de fixer le panneau (32) en position fermée, et aussi de faire adhérer la partie marge (36) à la paroi (12) dans une zone qui se situe autour de l'ouverture-poignée (20).
