A protective package for a medicament dispenser is disclosed. The package has an inner protective layer and an outer chemical barrier layer is disclosed. The protective package includes at least one reinforcing layer secured to the outer chemical barrier layer. At least one light inhibiting layer is provided to limit the transmission of light through the package.
