A protective seal (10) for beverage cans (c) completely covers and seals the mouth contact area (14) of the can (9c), thereby protecting that area from contamination due to handling and storage. The seal (10) comprises a thin, durable, impervious sheet applied to the top (T) of the can (c) surrounding the opening area (M), extending down the upper side of the can adjacent the top opening area for a short distance. This comprises the mouth contact area (M) of the can, and the seal (10) completely seals and protects this area. The seal is sealed to the can surface by a narrow strip (18) of food grade adhesive about the perimeter (16) of the seal, with the adhesive passing around the front of the pop tab pull ring (R) of the can top. The seal is also secured to the can by the conventional rivet (A) securing the pull ring to the pop tab (P) in easy opening type cans.
Ce scellement protecteur (10) destiné à des boîtes-boissons (c) recouvre et scelle complètement une zone de contact (14) de la boîte-boisson (9c) avec la bouche, protégeant ainsi cette zone de la contamination due à la manutention et au stockage. Ce scellement (10) comprend une feuille mince, durable, imperméable, appliquée sur le sommet (T) de la boîte-boisson (c) entourant la zone d'ouverture (M), et s'étendant sur une courte distance vers le bas du côté supérieur de la boîte, au voisinage de la zone d'ouverture supérieure, englobant ainsi la zone (M) de la boîte entrant en contact avec la bouche, de sorte que ce scellement (10) scelle et protège complètement cette zone.
