This shield unit which redirects heat is known to have a 120° curvature which extends longitudinally the length of a standard baseboard heater... It is attached to the lower edge of the upper exhaust vent by means of a universal clip-on edge which is incor- porated into the shield unit... Its primary function is to serve as a shield or guard thus promoting added protection to anyone and everything coming into contact with the heated upper area of the baseboard heater while in operation... It helps to prevent any foreign object from entering the upper vent, or anyone from being able to touch the inside heater element. It also permits curtains to be hung full length to the floor, as well as enhancing the appearance of the baseboard heater...
