Slit pieces of thermal insulating molded rubber are configured to conform to under-sink piping so as to provide protection against burn injury from contact with hot sur- faces. Three pieces cooperate with one another to enclose the installed P-trap assembly, and a fourth piece is sever- able into two parts which serve to enclose the hot water valve and its supply pipe and tube.
