An article of clothing adapted for wear on the upper torso of a young child, the article of clothing including first and second sleeves and first and second mittens secured respectively to each of the sleeves and a hood secured to the upper torso portion to cover the head of the child, their being a slit formed adjacent a point of attachment of each of the mittens to the sleeves and a further slit adjacent the point of attachment of the hood to the upper torso portion. The slits provide ready access to the hands and head area of the child while maintaining them warm.
