Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to a protector for a spray-nozzle of a cutting drum used in mining. It is proposed that the nozzle protector be designed to have low resistance in the direction of rotation of the cutting drum, a chamfer applied to the end face of the nozzle protector, in a direction opposite to the direction of rotation producing a self-cleaning effect in the area in which the nozzle is countersunk.
