Disclosed is a process for the production of an encapsulated protein antigen, which comprises the step of encapsulating a protein antigen having two or more cysteine residues in the molecule in a hydrophobic polysaccharide. The protein antigen is purified before or after the encapsulation of the protein antigen in the hydrophobic polysaccharide. Also disclosed is an encapsulated protein antigen characterized in that the protein antigen can be purified properly while reducing the denaturation of the antigen as much as possible.

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de production d'un antigène protéinique encapsulé, qui comprend l'étape d'encapsulation d'un antigène protéinique comportant deux résidus cystéine ou plus par molécule au sein d'un polysaccharide hydrophobe. L'antigène protéinique est purifié avant ou après son encapsulation dans le polysaccharide hydrophobe. La présente invention a également pour objet un antigène protéinique encapsulé caractérisé en ce que l'antigène protéinique peut être purifié convenablement tout en réduisant sa dénaturation autant que possible.
