ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Carrier bound proteins are attached directly to a carrier of polyamide or cellulose hydrate. The carrier bound proteins are peroxidase, glucose oxidase, diaphorase or glucose dehydrogenase. The proteins can be attached to the carrier by impregnation with a protein solution. The resulting carrier bound proteins find utility as bio- catalysts, in the preparation of test devices such as test strips, or as chromatography materials.
