The present invention is aimed to provide a simplified mechanism to handle Public Service Identities identifying services in a network when a given Public Service Identity (PSI) belongs to a range of Public Service Identities defined as a so-called ~Wildcard PSI~ range. Therefore, the present invention provides a new method, a new central entity in the network, and enhanced Home Subscriber Server, serving entity, and routing entity, all co-operating to carry out different embodiments for the invention by handling an identifier of the .LAMBDA.Wildcard PSI' range, which includes the given Public Service Identity, the .LAMBDA.wildcard PSI' range being associated with a common service profile to be applied for services identified by those Public Service Identities belonging to the ~Wildcard PSI~ range.

La présente invention vise à fournir un mécanisme simplifié permettant de gérer des identités de services publics identifiant des services dans un réseau lorsqu'une identité de services publics (PSI) donnée appartient à une gamme d'identité de services publics définies comme étant une gamme dite "PSI de substitution". Par conséquent, la présente invention procure un nouveau procédé, une nouvelle entité centrale dans le réseau et un serveur d'abonnés de base amélioré, une entité de desserte ainsi qu'une entité de routage tous coopérant pour exécuter les différents modes de réalisation de l'invention par gestion d'un identifiant de la gamme de "PSI de substitution", laquelle contient l'identité de services publics donnée, la gamme de "PSI de substitution" étant associée à un profil de services communs à appliquer aux services identifiés par les identités de services publics appartenant à la gamme de "PSI de substitution".
